Welcome to Part 2 of my “7 Pillars of Life” Series.  Hopefully, yesterday got you off to a good start with finding love for yourself and those that are important in your life.

If you got off to a late start and missed yesterday’s email, you can find the content HERE.

As for today, let’s review Pillars 2 and 3.

Create a Plan and Execute

In life, we all need a plan.  Short term, long term, you decide.  It doesn’t matter if it relates to your relationships, your body, your mind, your career, etc.  Make a plan!

This is something that scares the hell out of most people.  Why?  Here is the most common answer, “What if I make a plan and fail at achieving it?”  This is a fair question.

The truth is, you are not going to know unless you try.  The hardest part is starting.  But that is simply physics.  An object in motion stays in motion.  Conversely, an object at rest stays at rest.  Yes, we are the object in this story.

My point, get moving!  Come up with your plan and start to execute.  You need to employ a little bit of Ready-Fire-Aim here.  Don’t worry about being perfect.  Just get started.  You can refine it along the way.

Believe in Yourself

You need to believe in yourself.  I know this is more difficult than it sounds.  I know how doubt, fears, and concerns can get in our heads.  This is the importance of the plan.

It serves as a guide.  If you know what you want, it takes a little bit of focus to get there.  The focus will help you in those times of doubt.

“I can do this.”

“I got this”

“I believe”

These are all helpful mantras to adopt.  All you need is something to do daily to help you stay focused.  Whether it’s a list of goals visible daily, writing in a journal, or reading a couple pages in a motivational book.  This keeps your mindset positive.

You will stray from time to time.  This is normal.  But this concept in “believing in yourself” will keep you on the straight and narrow.  Don’t ever lose sight of that.

Now you have 3 Pillars to focus on.  Work on those today and I will return with Pillars 4, 5, and 6.

Until then, use these pillars as a guide to…

Commit to your excellence.
